Nathalia grew up in Palmdale, California with a passion for science. This journey continued at UCSD where she graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry/Chemistry. In the lab, her focus shifted to NASH and ALD research earning the distinction of becoming a Lee Fellow with an award-winning presentation at USC. Currently, under the guidance of Dr. Telese, she works as a research technician to help understand the molecular mechanisms of gene expression in the brain. Outside of the lab, Nathalia volunteers with the American Red Cross disaster response and enjoys working out, listening to podcasts, and exploring San Diego with her friends.
