Freiya graduated from UCSD in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in General Biology. During her undergraduate program, she worked at the microscopy core in the UCSD School of Medicine, learning how to use microscope systems while gaining experience in a lab setting. Currently, she is working as a lab assistant in the Telese Lab and is interested in how the regulation of gene expression in the hippocampus can affect learning and memory. Outside lab, she enjoys reading and attending concerts.
