Yanning is a neuroscientist and bioinformatician enthusiastic about deciphering the molecular mechanisms of the brain and related disorders using multi-omics data. Prior to joining the Tesele Lab, she obtained Ph.D degree in neuroscience and neurogenomics at UCLA. Her doctorial research characterized sexually divergent transcriptomic patterns in mouse brain regions due to cannabis exposure, and her postdoctoral research further extends on the topics of addiction and brain transcriptome. Outside the lab, Yanning works as a volunteer to promote the awareness of neurodiversity.
